Our Purpose
Working as a psychologist in rural, regional and remote (RRR) communities comes with many unique challenges. Our purpose is simple but powerful: to strengthen the wellbeing, capability, and sustainability of the RRR psychology workforce, so psychologists can continue delivering high-quality, compassionate care to their communities.
RPC is specialist infrastructure, built by and for rural psychologists.

There’s something quietly powerful about the phrase “Hello, World.” For decades, these two simple words have marked the beginning of countless journeys into programming, writing, and creation.
RPC is for psychologists who work in, with, or alongside regional, rural and remote (RRR) communities. This includes fully registered and provisional psychologists, psychology students planning rural careers, practice owners, and metro-based psychologists servicing RRR clients.
RPC is purpose-built for RRR psychology. While national associations play important roles, RPC focuses exclusively on the professional, workforce, and wellbeing realities of rural practice. We are designed to complement existing associations by offering deeper relevance, community connection, and context-specific support.
New members begin with a free trial of Professional Membership. After the trial period, you can choose to continue as a paid Professional Member or move to Community Membership at no cost. If you don’t continue with a paid membership, you remain part of the community — you’re not removed or excluded.
Professional Members receive full access to RPC’s digital community, RRR-specific professional development resources, events, peer forums, mentorship opportunities, wellbeing supports, and practical tools designed to support sustainable rural practice.
No. RPC is for anyone whose work involves regional, rural or remote communities — including metro-based psychologists supporting RRR clients, students planning rural careers, and practice owners with rural services.
